The Team overcomes obstacles together or individually, depending on the type of obstacle. The Team must always be connected by a leash. For the 5 km and 10 km courses, a running belt and harness for the dog are mandatory. Obstacles may be dirty, wet, and otherwise contaminated, so the Team should expect to get their clothing, bodies, and fur dirty.
RULES
- The race may be entered by a physically fit adult who registers, accepts the responsibility agreement, waiver, health and property liability statement, and consent to the use of personal data. The participant must pay the registration fee on time. Upon registration, the competitor is required to provide only truthful and complete information.
- A competitor under the age of 18 may participate in the race only with the consent of their legal guardian, who confirms their approval by signing the form (part of the registration). The legal guardian is responsible for their child and dog.
- If, for any reason, the competitor is unable to participate in the race, the organizer may transfer the paid registration fee to another race according to the following rules: the full amount if canceled up to 30 days before the race, 50% of the amount if canceled within 7 days. If canceled less than 7 days before the event, the registration fee will not be transferred, but you have the option to transfer the registration to another team.
- The competitor participates in the race at their own risk and confirms this by registering. They are aware of the risk of damage to their belongings and potential injury to themselves or their dog during the race. The organizer is not responsible for any property damage or other harm arising in connection with participation in the race. The competitor waives the right to claim compensation from the organizer. The competitor also confirms these facts with their signature upon registration.
- The competitor is required to familiarize themselves with all provided information, regulations, and recommendations, and to follow the instructions of the organizer and authorized personnel.
- The organizer has the right to exclude or disqualify a team whose behavior could endanger the safe conduct of the race or the safety of other teams or spectators.
- If a team prematurely withdraws from the race for any reason, they must report this to the nearest person authorized by the organizer.
- The team is required to complete the entire race and may not accept help from spectators. Violating this rule may result in disqualification.
- The competitor must not discard or leave any materials or trash during the race, except in designated areas. They must carry any waste in the provided bag and bring it to the nearest organizer at the obstacle. The competitor is required to behave respectfully toward their surroundings and nature.
- The team is required to overcome all the obstacles included in the race and may not shorten the course or otherwise violate the course rules. Violating this rule will lead to disqualification. The competitor must know the rules of the obstacles and the route for their category, based on the provided maps. The competitor must "check in" at the start and finish by scanning the chip (holding the chip near the reader and confirming that the green light turns on). At the finish, the chip must be returned; otherwise, their time will not be recorded, and they will not be ranked.
- A team that is unable to successfully overcome a given obstacle is required to complete an alternative task/penalty assigned by the organizer or an authorized person, so that the competitor is not disqualified from the race and can continue. This does not apply to competitors in the FUN and FAMILY categories, where overcoming obstacles is not mandatory. These competitors must report their category in advance at obstacles or course intersections.
- The team is required to follow the "faster team" rule, which means that slower teams must yield to faster teams on the course and at obstacles, and must not intentionally block their path. The faster team is obligated to alert the competitors ahead of them.
- The organizer reserves the right to issue a retrospective disqualification based on a protest supported by evidence (photo, video, etc.). The protest must be submitted no later than 60 minutes after the competitor's finish time to whom the protest pertains. A protest can be filed after paying a fee of 500 CZK. It will then be reviewed and evaluated by a three-member panel (referee, race director, chief organizer). The decision of the referee panel cannot be appealed. Any disqualification or other form of penalty is entirely at the discretion of the referee panel. The organizer is not obligated to accept complaints from third parties or review recordings from third parties.
- The organizer is entitled to use all photographs and audio-visual recordings taken during the race without limitation of purpose and without any financial compensation to the author of the photographs or audio-visual recordings.
- If the competitor does not attend the award ceremony, they voluntarily forfeit any prizes and benefits. In their absence, the prize may be collected by a person authorized by them. The organizer has the right to request identification details from this person (e.g., ID card). The award ceremony for each race will take place according to the schedule. The organizer reserves the right to adjust the timing of the award ceremony to suit the current conditions.
- The use of the logo and the phrase "Extreme Dog Race" is governed by Act No. 441/2003 Coll., on Trademarks. All rights are reserved.
- A competitor may race with a dog of any breed and size, provided they comply with the valid Animal Protection Act No. 246/1992, as amended, particularly in accordance with Act No. 77/2004 Coll., which prohibits the promotion of animal cruelty through public demonstrations at events.
- The race may only be participated in by dogs that are older than 12 months. For the FUN and FAMILY categories, the dog must be at least 10 months old. Nursing females or females in their 2nd month of pregnancy are not allowed to participate in the race.
- Mandatory vaccinations for the race: rabies. We recommend the combined DHPPi vaccination.
- The dog must be identifiable (tattoo or microchip) in accordance with the amendment to the Veterinary Act No. 302/2017 Coll., which mandates the identification of dogs with a microchip on the territory of the Czech Republic.
- The race may only be participated in by a dog that is in good health (not suffering from obesity, chronic musculoskeletal disorders, etc.) – for the Long course, it is recommended to consult a veterinarian.
- The race may only be participated in by a dog that shows no signs of uncontrollable aggression (a muzzle may be used). The competitor or the legal guardian (for minor competitors) is always responsible for the dog.
Failure to comply with any rule may result in immediate disqualification without the right to a refund of the entry fees!
